Geelong now lead by 19 points with 5:48 left in the game, 8.13.61 to 6.6.42.
It’s going to be very hard for North now, as they need at least three goals, having kicked only six all day.
The wind shaped as though it might be the Crows best hope in their clash with the Bulldogs, but Adelaide were unable to take advantage having kicked with the breeze in the first quarter, and from that point on it was the dominant Dogs.
They controlled this game all over the park as they notched their 15th win of the season, with Bailey Smith, Bailey Dale and Caleb Daniel all in excellent form in what turned out to be not much more than a strenuous training game for the league leaders.
There will be tougher tests ahead, but the Bulldogs can feel confident as they prepare for the finals.

The Kangaroos refuse to give in! Ford picked a crucial time to kick his first AFL goal, as he cancels out Narkle’s major from earlier in the final quarter to cut the deficit back to 12 points with 11:35 left in the game, 6.6.42 to 7.12.54.
The Cats might’ve assumed the upper hand in this contest, but the Kangaroos are not giving up without a fight.
It looks like Geelong will be pushed right until the final siren as they aim to stay in touch with the top-of-the-ladder Bulldogs who just beat Adelaide.
Geelong are still failing to get bang for buck as they comfortably lead the inside 50s 42-25 and soring shots 17-11, but only enjoy an 11-point lead at three-quarter time.
The Cats are also well on top in disposals 293-240, marks 105-93 and contested possessions 82-72 while they lead the clearances 21-19, free kicks 8-7 and hitouts 22-21 as well.

In the end, the Bulldogs showed why 14 spots separate them from the Crows on the AFL ladder.
The premiership contenders were just too strong in the end, and finished up with 12 individual goalkickers.
The Dogs finished up comfortably winning the disposals 371-326, inside 50s 65-39, scoring shots 30-16, tackles 66-55, marks 85-66 and clearances 42-35. It was a complete performance.
And most importantly, the result sees the Bulldogs hang onto top spot on the ladder with three rounds to go.

The Cats have now given themselves some decent breathing space heading towards the halfway mark of the third quarter.
Another goal from Cam Guthrie has helped them shoot out to a 16-point lead, 6.9.45 to 4.5.29.
Guthrie and Rohan are the game’s only multiple goalkickers.
The Bulldogs now have 10 individual goalkickers and have extended their lead to 43 points with 7:27 left in the game, 13.15.93 to 7.8.50.
They will comfortably remain in top spot on the ladder this week.

For all Geelong’s dominance in that first half, the Cats lead by just eight points.
They’ve taken nine marks inside-50 to the Roos’ three, but ultimately the Roos have stood up well defensively and have been able to put four goals of their own on the board in the first half.
Overwhelmingly, the Cats have had 31 inside-50s to 17. North Melbourne, however, is lacking that power forward to really put the Cats under scoreboard pressure. Expect the Cats to click from second gear into third gear after the long break.
